Salt 'n vinegar chips.. only chips I'd eat, but they are addicting to me. Cheesy-poufs, the Cheetos puffy ones, not crunchy, but those I only allowed 1-2 bags a year pre-op, as I'd eat the whole bag over three days time.. so they were relegated to vacation foods.. Hmm.. Tday- stuffing, but my mom makes it out of a bag, so I don't crave it that much..

Not a sweets person but.. caramels, really good ones- which I will be missing badly this Christmas- Trappistine Creamy Caramels.. oh my, they are the BEST, buttery, rich, mmmm.. seriously. I won't order them this year (used to gift them to friends & fam, and a small box for us..) but maybe next year, order a package and take a few out, then make my husband be the hero and take them to the girls at his work!

Ok, up until Thanksgiving, nothing I tried post-op tasted good to me compared to how it tasted pre-op.  Pre-op I was a Chipotle burrito bowl fanatic (carnitas, rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, cheese and sour cream).  I LOVED that meal.  Now, I don't even like the carnitas.  Kind of a good thing.

Anyway, on Thanksgiving, I found something I could have probably stuffed myself on!  My uncle's stuffing, mashed potatoes, and corn, all mixed together with a little gravy.  Good stuff!  But I only put about two bites worth on my plate, and that's all I ate.  Could've easily gone back for more though.  Good thing that is food I'm only exposed to once/year!

Dressing... we don't call it 'stuffing' in GA, and though some isinside the bird there is a great big pan cooked by itself also. Also pecan pie (MINE, no other) Also fried sorn, and sweet potato casserole-we make one with crushed Frosted flakes and pecans on top. not marshmallows.

That said--I ate a bite of whatever I wanted Thursday, including the dressing, pie and sweet taters. I couldn't eat a LOT like I always used to, and figured my calorie count was still in line with what I usually have by the end of the day, possibly a couple hundred more. I will NOT be sweating over food on holidays, but that means ONLY the holidays themselves, not the day before, day after, and whatever celebrations might be in between. Waiting on Christmas dinner now... New Yea's is safe as the tradition here is healthy, collard greens and blackeye peas. OK, a little piece of corn bread wuith that. But what I eat the most of on that day is the greens which have very few cals even cooked with a hambone.
