LETS PLAY--Because of my VSG, I'm thankful for.......
1. The years I know I've added to my life;
2. The fact that I am no longer afraid of the future. For years I was afraid my health was going to fail and I'd die young;
3. Better sex with my hubby!
4. Being able to get real hugs from my kids/grandkids since they can put their arms all the way around me!
5. Feeling like I look human again instead of looking freakish.
6. Not feeling hungry 24/7/365. Now I have a normal hunger that is easily satisfied
7. Feeling comfortable in my own skin.
8. Being able to wear clothes that not only look good but are comfortable on my body.
9. Simply feeling better every day
10. No longer feeling like a failure. I am now in control of me.
What about you?
...though she be but little, she is FIERCE...

My surgery is 12/19. My whole motivation behind having the surgery is getting off diabetes meds. I'm so encouraged that you were able to get off yours. Congratulations! How soon after surgery did you come off your meds?VSG on 10/09/12
1) Running up and down the stairs in my house without getting winded.
2) Playing basketball with my kids in the front yard.
3) Dancing the night away with my husband every chance we get.
5) The look in my husbands eyes every-time I walk down the stairs for our "date".
6) My size 0 petite dresses and high heeled boots.
7) The way my husband picks me up and carries me upstairs.
8) The way I feel about myself and my accomplishment.
9) The smile on my face every-time I look in the mirror.
10) The freedom I feel from the hunger and the yo-yo dieting,
11) The way I dance on the ice alongside my daughter and finally....
I landed my first axel on the ice this week!
Thankful doesn't seem to be a big enough word for how I feel.
