pop up ads....WTH

Anyone getting all these damn pop up ads...They are driving me crazy....

Not user friendly at all -- makes me not want to be here as much.  I thought it was just me, since I had to disable my pop-up blocker in order to do my online classes.

I agree its free and all, but they put those pop ups like when your going to click on somwthing

I don't have any pop-ups...
Maybe its because I'm on a MAC running a firefox browser???

I have the rolling ad that scrolls up and down the screen on my lap top.  The way I got rid of it was to hide the chat bar.  On the bottom right of the screen the tab will say show if you click it it will say hide and the ad went away.  I guess this means you can't chat but if you don't use the chat on here that is one way to get rid of it or at least it worked for me.

 Yes all evening.  I just clicked the bottom right very miniature "i" in the box.  It opens an option to choose "opt out.". Since I did that the ads have stopped.
