Welcome!  The decision to sleeve was the best decision of my life!  I have no regrets at all, except not doing it sooner.  My initial consult with my surgeon was March 8th, and I weighed 275 and now I'm 207 and feel so much better.  No more BP meds and no sign of diabetes.  There is another post tonight from someone 7 years post-op check it out.  I don't know where you would find a total # of members.  Now I'm curious.  good luck with the pre-op process!

Hi, I had my sleeve done 8 weeks ago, on 8/22.   I lost 35 lbs before surgery and the rest since - a total off 66 lbs.  I am thrilled with my progress, and I had a very easy recovery, with little discomfort.  I am now on a regular diet - i.e. I am eating dense protein and have added a wide variety of foods on the plan given to me by the nutritionist, though in very small portions.

I have no idea how many people are on this forum.  I do know that since the sleeve is now covered by many insurers, more and more folks are choosing this procedure, over others.  One of the nurses at the hospital said they are seeing more sleeves.  I even have heard of a doctor telling folks in an info  session that, if he needed WLS, he'd choose the sleeve. Good luck to you!!!

Hi there,
I couldn't even guess how many have had VGS surgery. So many people on here are soon-to-bes and some are just checking things out and asking questions (so glad they are!!).
I had my surgery April 5, 2011 and have lost 70 pounds since surgery and about 85 total.
This is truly the best decision I have ever made for my health.

I Coudn't begin to guess  the number  because the sleeve use to be 1 of a 2 process surgery, I think the numbers must be pretty high .
