 Hey does anyone out there have Aetna Hmo ins that has had the Sleeve done? If so how was the process of getting it paid and setting a date?

Does your surgeon run informational seminars? Have you been to one? Generally, after the seminar and you decide you want to proceed, they get a copy of your insurance card and call for the WLS benefits. Some employers exclude WLS completely, meaning no benefits, the insurance won't pay. You can call the number on your insurance card also and ask about the requirements and benefits for WLS. If you call, write down the date, time and name of the rep you spoke with.

Each surgeon has different programs designed to maximize insurance benefits. You will not be able to schedule surgery till you get insurance approval and meet all the surgeon's requirements.
