Such an amazing day

I got to go back to my old office where I know everyone and where my main support came from right after my surgery. I got transferred a couple weeks afte rmy surgery, and haven't seen most of the people since.

Tons of people were so shocked by me - i walked around for a while and every corner, someone else was complimenting me. It was so weird, but for the first time I learned to appreciate it and soak it up.

I had a great NSV while I was out - I wore a pair of heels!! When I was 420 lbs, I could never even make it out of the house in heels - it KILLED my feet and hurt so bad. Today, I slipped them on and marched around a court house for a couple hours in HEELS. OMG. It never hurt my feet (with the exception of a little blister on my heel) and I wasnt even focused on my feet! This could open a lot of possibilities for shoes since I haven't been able to wear them before. I have a couple pairs because i buy them and then realize it hurts too much. But now - I have options!

I also got to wear my new suit i bought from JcPenny's. I haven't spent too much money on clothes, but they had a 50% off sale on suits, and I found a perfect size 20 suit, so I bought it. Cost me $80 and I may wear it a handful of times before it gets too big, but it was worth every dollar It was the first suit I've bought and wore from a non-fat person store Operation Divorce Lany Bryant is well under way and probably almost complete I don't think I will ever buy another item from them.

Such a great day I'm learning to accept compliments and be proud of myself. Today was definitely a step in that direction.

that is truely a great feeling,congrats to you. i myself find it hard to accept compiments i never understood why.a friend bought it to my attention.i also cant wait until my heels i have collected over the years to stop hurting my feet.Just the other day I try on a pair pant I love so much.I have not been able to ware in 5 years. Any way I am so proud of you I always read your post. You are doing fantastic.

You have no idea. If for no other reason - I need to get far far away from those sizes. When I went suit shopping, their suits (which are not that great to begin with) were DOUBLE the price of JCPenny.

Im hoping by the time my real divorce is final in a couple months that I can celebrate two divorces. I hate these plus size stores.

There are a few select items at LB that I liked, but for the most part, their clothes were too expensive, too "trendy", too revealing/trashy, or just weren't my style.

So glad to be in regular clothes again... the possibliities right now are overwhelming!  I don't have to buy just what fits anymore!!!

You are doing great. You deserved all those compliments, you earned them by working so hard. Continued success to you and many more happy days ahead.
