Hmm do you think they are higher?  I see that one is high for sure, but for the most part, they look like they are about at the level of your waist/under your ribcage?  I was just poking around at my sites, and if they were any higher, they'd be in the bottom of my ribcage.

Did you have a hernia repair done as part of your surgery?  I do think that contributed to some of my discomfort, especially while coughing.  It also made my surgery take longer, so my lap sites were in use longer.  Other than that, I think there are probably a bunch of factors that come into play when it comes to how much pain you experience.

No the surgeon told me he didn't see any hernias. I wear my pants around my waste that is around my belly button. I do have discomfort around the waist on my left side, I read that the surgeons suture something down to prevent hernias and I am guessing that is what I am feeling. I just find your incisions are close to your belly button compared to mine. No biggie, surgeons all enter from different areas I guess. I am very long in the body as well. It just might be the surgeon's preference of where he does the incisions.

Thank you so much for sharing these pictures. You are indeed brave to share, and more than that you are an inspiration.  I hope I have as good an experience as you have had.  Praying you continue to have a successful journey with your sleeve.
