Good Afternoon,

I am new to the Forum, but I have a question concerning the previous post on this thread.  I see where alot are posting breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, and snack.  I am on my 8th week post Op and my dietitian has me doing 3 meals and absolutely no snacking inbetween. Is this common?

Thanks,

Susan

Depends on the plan.  My plan says three "meals" and 2 or more planned snacks.  Snacks are okay as long as they're not impulse eating.

Some plans go by the 3 meals a day rule.  Personally, I'd find that hard to do, but you should try to do what your plan requires.

Like the other person said it just depends on YOU and YOUR plan and ultimately YOUR body.  I don't think I could go say 6-7 hours between meals, so my plan for my brain function and body is to eat every 3-4 hours.  So I eat (rather drink) my breakfast shake during my 630-7am commute.  I'll have something MAYBE around 10am.  Lunch at 1, snack again at 4 and then dinner around 7.

As I went on MY journey I learned there are NO absolutes for me.  Much success to you!!

Also with the limited amounts MOST can eat at 1 sitting, it doesn't make sense to limit them to 3 meals ONLY.  I could barely get 1oz of meat in my first 3 months.
