HELP! Dr. Experience??

I've got you all beat!  My doc had done 12, yes, twelve, sleeves before mine.  He's actually not a big sleeve fan, but the sleeve is what I wanted.  He was very upfront about the numbers he's done and he is a very experienced bariatric surgeon.  I felt confident in him.  He described exactly how he does it, why he does or does not do certain things (oversewing, glueing) and everything he said was evidence based.

I probably could have found someone who had done more (maybe even in the same practice), but I really liked and trusted him.  I work in the medical field, and I know when someone is arrogant or giving me a bunch of BS.

Even the simplest surgeries take skill and practice to perfect. 70 surgeries is not that much and if possible I would try and find someone with a few more under their belt (if there are more in your area). It takes years to perfect something and learn what works best for them and their patients.  I work with surgeons (not bariatric) that have been doing surgery for over 15 years (the same surgeries) and are constantly being educated on new techniques for doing them that improve them. Best of luck to you =)
