I'll be 41 yo in a little over a week. I have had 2 colonoscopies, 2 upper GI's, a Hysteroscopy, a full Hysterectomy, I'm pre-diebetic, I have high cholesterol, I have hypothyroidism, I've had my gullbladder removed, I take over 25 vitamins and meds a day. I look 5 years into the future and I see at least 2 more comorbities coming my way. I look 10 years into the future and i see a few more.

Every single doctor I've ever seen, including the allergist, has told me that my problems would resolve themsleves if I only lost weight.

There is no fairy tale for me. I'm not in my 20's still choosing to see a hottie in the lying mirror.

One thing I've learned is that I can live with at this weight one more day - but I don't want to.

Do this for the future you. Take it as a challenge. Choose what you think about, what you worry about.

I look at my future and don't like what I see. It's time to change the view girlfriend.

Your surgery is on my pre-op date. I'll be thinking about how awesome your surgery is going.

Cheers!

I can relate to what you are going threw. I was on the operating table and was having second thoughts but was knocked out before I could back out. I personally would say ( I might get bashed for this) but if you are having second thoughts then put a hold on the surgery so you can think it threw more carefully because you do not want to have it and regret it like i have now.
