Be sure to get in all your protein and all your fluids.......................hide the scales, just take your measurements for a week. You are doing great!!!! Maybe add one more shake at supper, try to get atleast 60 to 80 gr of protein, and keep your carbs less than 40. Don't try to count calories now, there is NO way you can do that with what we can eat at this stage. Or maybe add a yogurt to your shake to up the protein in the shakes. Or make some instant s/f pudding and add some cream cheese............ love this. Don't get discouraged, we all go thru this phase................ and you will go thru a few more before your journey is over!! But just think in a year, you can try on all your old clothes and they are going to fall off!! ;o)

 Hey Boomer,

I've read many of your posts and have always thought you asked good questions and made good comments, so I'm reaching out to you now.  My weight loss came to a screaching halt at around 3 weeks and has been a trickle since then, BUT my shape is definitely changing at the same time.  I know it's hard to stay off of the scales, but why not put them away for a week.  That's what I did - we went camping for a week - no scale! - and when we got back I was down a couple of pounds.  It made me feel great to see even that small change in numbers.  Do you have a good friend you can give your scales to for a week?  Otherwise, if you're like me, you'll be sneaking a peek in 2 more days!  Please don't start playing head games with yourself!  You've made great changes in your life and you WILL see results.  Just think about how confused your body must be right now after years of packing food into it - give it a little catch up time.  Be kind to yourself, stick to your program - DON'T cut your calories and you'll be so pleased with the results.  Sending you big hugs and lots of good wishes.

I had a few weeks where I did not lose anything on my Sat weigh in, but usually by the next Sat I had gone down.  It takes time, it is an adjustment and the best thing you can do is just try to go with it and not compare your weight loss to others.  I had to hide my scale so I would just weigh in once a week, otherwise it was making me crazy.  I have not done anything extreame to try and make myself lose.  I just trusted that my body would adjust and reminded myself that I was fat for years and I was thinner in no time.  Congrats and best wishes.

The DREADED 3week stall

It happens.  And it will pass (soon even though it does not feel like it will).  Keep getting your protein and water.  If that does not work, change up your diet.  Increase the calories etc.

Try to be pateint (I know its tough)

Oh I cannot tell you the number of stalls I've had... How many weeks you ask? 8!!

I do what someone else posted. I don't lose one week, then lose 3. Then nothing then 5, then nothing then 1.

The weirdest part? The weeks I don't lose are the weeks people say "wow, you've lost a lot more haven't you?" And my clothes. They are my friend. I stalled two weeks in a row just recently thought I was going to cry. Then lost only 3 but my 18 pants that were fitted? Suddenly the butt is hanging and the legs are loose.

And I looked in the mirror, my legs are finally cutting lose some fat (I'm sure lunges and bike are helping) and the skin is lose and saggy (I'll take it, was starting to look silly with a skinny upper torso and giant thunder thighs!

So don't let that scale scare you. Put those clothes on and really you'll see that you are losing something. This place is great for boosting us up when we are down!
