Clarifying the VSGM Group
Hi All;
Recently there have been some threads about being nice to newbies and answering questions and finding the right place for those "middies" in the middle of their weight loss journey who have questions beyond those early out but who are not in maintenance nor near goal.
I want to make it really clear that the VSG Maintenance Group is open to all and specifically welcomes the middies or anyone at any stage of this process. While we do discuss maintenance issues, we are all happy to answer questions for those in the middle of their journey and sometimes those of us who are at goal can be the best resource for these questions because we have been there.
So if the middies want to have their own group thats ok with us, but please don't feel like you can't join the maintenance group if you are not near goal. We have over 600 members but most just lurk and I suspect many are in the mid range trying to learn what the future holds. When I first started this journey I got a lot of information from those who were far along in their weight loss or at goal and found it exceedingly helpful.
So everyone should feel free to join the vsgm group. Lurk if you want, but don't hesitate to jump in with questions or comments. I would like to encourage new members to introduce themselves and tell what stage they are at and what issues they face. You might be surprised what you learn. And reading the older message threads will give you a wealth of information by those who have been there and done that which is very valuable.
Again, all are welcome in the vsgm group - even if you are a pre op just getting started. We are all about sharing information and experience. The address to the group appears below my ticker.

Diane,
I am going to admit that I read the maintenance group as much (or even more) than the main VSG board. It is very informative and gives a very good overview of what life is like post goal. The vets there are helpful to all and there is no bickering ****il carbs come up ..lol).
