Help my bras are trying to suffocate me

I am on day five and would really like to wear a bra but they are suddlenly way to tight around the band.  Is it possible I am still swollen and my rib cage has expanded?  My large breasts are rubbing on my incisions and giving me back pains but bras hurt too.  I tried a sports crop top too and that was just as bad.  When will this end and what to do?

I let 'em fly in their natural environment for a few weeks, that incision under my bra line drove me crazy. Eh, they're just boobs and mine were floppy, I didn't care.

You have an incision right under your boobs??  I have very large boobs as well but I didn't have any incisions under mine.  I just have 5 holes pretty much in a straight line about belly button height.  Weird.  I've just been going braless, but again, doesn't seem like I have your problem.  So sorry to hear that Jo.  Hope you find some comfort soon!

Take care,
Jodi

I'm doing this not only for myself, but for my husband and two wonderful children.  I need to be around to watch them grow up!

Have someone wrap you with an ace bandage (or 2) I also put a wash cloth under my boobs. After about a week I was able to wear a bra again. I had an incision for my pain pump about a half an inch above my bra band & my top incision was at my bra band.

just found my old maternity bras so are going to try those nanas out tomorrow!  I am only 5'2 and my surgeon was a bit perplexed at how small my belly area is -obviously its plenty fat but its short if you know what I mean.  My five incisions are all well above my belly button.  I'm a bit bummed because I was hoping that as I don't have any stretch marks above my belly button I might one day be able to wear a high waisted bikini.  The area below my my belly button got completely shredded my my two lovely daughters :(  I tend to scar badly so can't imagine that they are just going to fade away.

I've been having the same issue. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and still am not super comfortable having a bra on. I will wear one if I go out in public, but otherwise, I go braless, and pantless as well. Its all too restricting, lol. Seriously though, I have two incisions under my breasts, and the bra's did more damage than good, so I choose not to wear my bras for the most part. I however, have smaller breasts, so I don't think people can tell as much, unless its cold, of course.

I was home for the better part of the first two weeks after surgery and went sans bra.  I have DDs and an incision right at the bra line kinda in between my breasts, but closer to the left one.  Annoying.  Going braless was kinda liberating, but also a literal and figurative pain.

My solution was to wear a tank top/cami under my clothes and tuck some of the material under my boobs for a tiny bit of support and to stop the skin on skin friction.  I even did that for my two-week follow up/staple-removal at my surgeon's office.  The next day I started wearing bras because I had to go back to work.
