Feeling 'Full' after eating...

I need some prespective from other vets...

After I eat I feel full, kind of stuffed. Like a Thanksgving dinner, im full. Not the greatest of feelings. Sometimes I have to wait after I eat a meal to do anything because im just too full..

So should I eat less? I dont eat very much at all, maybe its a psychological thing but I dont think I should be eating less than I am.. I can only eat 1-2 ounces of lean protein at a sitting..

I dont feel sick after..just full..I dont really like the way full feels anymore..I would have poked someone's eye out to feel full after a huge meal in my past life...

Let me know, do you feel the same way after you eat?

I'm only 5 weeks post-op and a full feeling tome is way to uncomfortable.  I would rather under eat, but twice I have done it and I won't be doing it again  - I can only eat 1 to 2 oz of lean protein as well but I can eat more of softer stuff like sushi

My GOD! I'm losing just fine to this point (at least I think I am..??) and I'm staying within my plan but it worries me so much when I see people - especially further out than me - that can eat so little. Whaaat am I doing wrong?!

EX:
I had 3 oz pork chop and 3 oz vegetables for dinner. 3 oz roast, around 2-3 oz zucchini and .5-1 oz monterey jack cheese for lunch. These are typical meals for me. Sometimes I do get 'full' but rarely (never that I can think of? Drank a protein shake too fast a couple times and I was not feeling so hot for like 20-30 mins after, but that I was pretty early on) uncomfortably full. I feel like I eat SO much more than what some people here can eat. I have NEVER had a moment of 'had 2-3 bites and was stuffed!' like I see people say.

its weird how we all can eat different amounts..even people with smaller bougies (the guide the surgeon uses to size your stomach) can sometimes eat more...

i dont think you are doing anything wrong, it just how each of our stomach's adjusts...

I hope that's it! It's been bothering me the more I see how little people can eat. I would be totally freakin' out except that I am still losing/everything seems normal otherwise. I was actually going to ask the doc about this when I go back next month.

Do you know what size bougie Dr. Nick used on you? He used a 36 on me and from I read on here, that is bigger one.

Maybe it's not quantity but speed?  If I want to eat anything besides protein I have to eat it first.  I am still eating protein at least 90% of my calories.  If I go too fast I get that Big Full feeling, too.  Even with a small quantity.   Just a theory.  You are doing great!

Hey Sassy,

Your great restriction is a blessing at this point!

Couple of things.... Are you on a acid blocker? Sometimes acid can make you feel stuffed.

Try eating less and add a meal..... Just to see how it works out.

My doc only gives that advise out to people he knows has control cause for some it can lead to grazing. You got the control!

thanks Frisco

I was waiting for the Frisco/Cirangle point of view.

I think maybe I will try to eat slower and a bit less at a time..

But after reading these posts I am thankful I have this full response because I guess it doesnt happen across the board...

So....is grazing a bad thing or a good thing? I think I graze more than eat meals.
