Post Op 1 week....scared!
Sleeved last tuesday, I feel so "great"..... but I am afraid that this is just a fluk...will the bottom fall out? Was feeling fenced in in the house, too hot to walk, went to mall for 4 hours(stopping to rest every so often) then all of a sudden, I got really weak and feeling deflated.Did my glucose drop???? Not a diabetic but I am glucose intolerance.... Why do we worry when thing go bad but we also worry when things do good too? Go Figure.....

You are suffering from my same affliction. The 'I just had surgery but I feel great so I can do anything" problem. Not!
Less than 2 weeks post op I went to the State Fair. 4 hours of walking in the sun. WTH was I thinking? I almost fainted about 5 times, had to stop every 20 ft and sit down until I got to my car, cooled off and could drive home. Scared my poor kids but I kept saying "I'll be fine" (in fact I had visions of passing out at the fair and I think that's all that kept me upright)
Then less than 4 weeks post op I tried a 4 mile bike ride. Made it 2.5 miles before again, I was nearly fainting.
My first thing is, did your post op blood results read "anemic"? Mine did, major part of my lightheaded/fainting spells. Outside of that you have to add it all together. Recovering from surgery, big body living on almost no food (if you're lucky you're at what, 300/400 calories?) and hydration is hard as heck the first month.
So baby steps. Walk for an hour, not 4. Walk around the block at 8am when it's not hot. Walk around your house. Don't lift anything AT ALL. And by all means, don't do what I did LOL!
I'm 5 weeks post, now that I can double up my iron my anemia is getting better slowly and I'm more and more active but I'm not doing anymore 4 mile bike rides. Maybe 1. It just takes time. Also, my calories are now up to a solid 500 every single day, so I know that is helping me.
Congrats, just do what you can do. Don't pu****

well i felt that way too - world's easiest surgery and recovery. But you gotta remember not to overdo it.And chances are your feelings were do to not enough fluid so make sure to really pu**** in the sumer. And if you have been taking a blood pressure medicine might be time to check on that. I had some spells a few weeks out and found that my bp was too low and I no longer needed bp meds. If you have a glucose issue might be good to check with doctor but in the meantime just get plenty of rest and push the fluids. Diane
