Crap, he was. Sorry, pregnancy brain this morning. He's moved a bunch, been questioned in many cases, and it's hard to keep track of all of them.

She was with Husted but then he backed out and ended up with Juarez.   I'm not sure of the details in terms of why her original doctor backed out, but that is my understanding of what happened.

Just a reminder to always go w/ surgeons who have a lengthy, vetted & stable track-records.  Such a sad story... it makes me angry too.

Just remember folks... just because someone has, "Dr." in front of their name... that doesn't make them an expert.  Choose your surgeon wisely and seek input from other WLS patients.

Current weight: 170 lbs.

Once I reach goal, this cow will be killed & eaten... 2 ounces at a time.

Total includes 56 lbs. lost on 2-month low carb pre-op diet.  Start date 9/13/10.

This story just hit my heart so hard this morning.  Being young, we sometimes take this major surgery for granted.  It just made me feel so blessed to be where I am today.  I am just praying for her family and friends and the people who's lives she has touched.  We will "see you on the other side" as were the last lines of her most recent blog.

Heartbreaking.  Just awful.

From what I understand, her surgeon was Husted but then he backed out and Juarez stepped in. She decided to let Juarez do the surgery and was confident in him.

She was a beautiful young woman, inside and out. That is evident just reading her posts and her blog.   This is a tragedy, and I hope something positive may someday come of it.

This thread on the DS forum was pretty eye opening about Hustead.

It is so important that this tragedy not be forgotten.
