scale going the wrong way...
Hi,
I am 2 months out I was 237 now I am up to 242. I cut out the milk, trying to watch the carbs eating less than 1200 calories a day according to myfitnesspal.com that is coming up what I should be eating. im trying the water intake.. eating hamburg, shrimp, chicken for my protein.. need more exercise.. last few days i made shells for the family and have been eating that at my meals like at work 2 cups last me 9.5 hours... I don't know what I am doing wrong. I feel terrible... like a failure..
please some advice.. thanks.. I know I posted before and am struggling with getting this weight off.. I started at 284 and now down to 242.00
thanks for the advice.

Just because the app says to eat 1200 does not mean you should...
I try to keep my calories under 800 unless I work out for 60 min/day. Myfitness pal tells me to eat 2200 cal.
You probably are dealing with water weight, especially if you've been eating carbs lately. Check with your surgeon and see what he/she suggests for calories/protein/carbs at this point.
You are not a failure - you haven't given up yet, so keep pluggin away and follow the guidelines.

Not sure what you mean by "shells"... but if you mean pasta, and you've been eating more carbs (or even a couple of high carb meals) the extra carbs will also make you retain a bunch of fluid, and you 'll gain several pounds of waterweight almost overnight.
Either way, by going back to dense protein first, cutting carbs, and getting plenty of water, you should be back on track in no time.
You can actually set your own calories, carbs, protein in fitness pal!
Then you can keep track that way!
It will still say you are eating too little but you know to keep the protein 60-80 carbs 40 or less
64 oz water minimum!
Also, walking at a slow pace for about 15 min every couple of hours, will burn calories too.
I can see if you were trying to maintain ... I've read from my nut that at this point (1 month out)
should be getting 6-800 cals a day.
At maintanance, would be 1000-1200 cals.
I would think you are getting way to many shells!
Remember, it's supposed to be protein first...
Cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, fat free milk, yogurt, pork rinds, chicken, fish, all high in protein. Do you do the 5-6 small amts per day?
I hope you can find the answer that will work for you!!
