HI,

I am 2 months out on saturday the 6th, and i am only down 30 lbs since surgery.. I stalled for about 2-3 weeks and I have lost 4 lbs and now seemed to be stalled again.  Is that possible.   I am watching what I eat could probably do more on the protein and water, but I am getting very upset and thinking I have something wrong with me and that this is not going to work..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... thanks.

30 pounds in 2 months is fantastic....so take the "only" out of your sentence and your thinking.

Yes, it's possible you've stalled again.  You can stall multiple times.  Stay on your program and stop worrying about it.

Or, if you feel like you have to do SOMETHING - up your water and protein.

I think you're doing great. I am 6 weeks out today (so only 2 weeks from you) and I'm down 28. I'm also currently in a weight loss "pause". LOL.

Do you measure inches? I gained 0.4lbs this week, but measure inches every week and see that I lost everywhere. So I'm losing, just maybe not on the scale.

I lose for a few days, and then stop for awhile. I log it daily, and it helps me see patterns. (I follow a stairstep pattern.... I drop, hold for awhile, inch up a tad, and repeat.)

I honestly DON'T lose on more days than I DO lose. LOL.

You might do an OH search for "glycogen" and "stalls"... there's some great info out there about the why we stall that helps me not LOSE MY MIND when the scale doesn't go in the right direction.

Slow and steady, girl... we've GOT THIS!

I am going through the same thing. I thought I hit 30 pounds down Sat morning but Sun I went right back up 2 pounds. I want to get below 200 so bad that I'm going back to shakes and soup. I also measure and the weight must be coming off my ankles because nothing else is shrinking.

Again,  did you measure?  It's so important to measure - not because it does you any good physically but because of what it does for you mentally when you're caught in a stall.

Like Smardeepants said, you may not be losing weight but you're losing inches.

So, if you  haven't measured, go do it now.  Run to Walmart and buy a cloth tape measure.  Set up an excel spreadsheet or a word document or just do it in your OH account under the Health Tracker.

I also agree with "take the only out"  ...don't compare yourself to anyone except yourself.  Remember you are unique.  No one else is exactly your height, with your bones, and your exact weight, and your family dynamics, your stress, or anything else.

Allow yourself to be yourself and go with the flow!  You'll get there!
