Weight loss slowing down already?

Hi guys,

I'm starting to get a little concerned. I'm over 4 months out of surgery. So far I've lost 60lbs since having the surgery, but in the last 2 weeks I've only lost 1lb. I exercise 3 days a week (two days with a personal trainer). I haven't brought in sweets into my diet, or foods that are triggers for me.  I will admit, I did go to a BBQ last Saturday and got a little crazy with some things, but the next day I was right back on track.

Do you think I'll start to loose more weight because I still wanted to loose a lot more.

How many calories should I be taking? I usually take no more than 800 calories a day.

Please help!! I need some advice.

Just a stall - don't worry. Just keep watching what you eat and exercising, and it'll keep coming off. Try and avoid the scale for a while and focus on the other things.

Things just kind of change, or at least for me they did around the end of month 4 -- I am a "slow" loser - or at least compared to some others, I am. From month 4,5 and 6 I have been losing about 8 to 9 pounds each month -- and that is fine with me. I also exercise 4 to 5 times a week. I'm finding that my pattern of weight loss changed, and the last couple months lose 2 to 3 pounds one week, and level out the next week, and maybe lose half a pound that week....and it doesn't seem dependent on what I do or don't eat in a day....I typically am eating about 800 to 900 cal a day.

I am pleased, and think you are really rockin' your sleeve -- you are getting close to your goal !!!! I would relax and keep doing what you know works... it will !!!

Hang in there...  Keep doing what your doing and this will pass.
your body is adjusting right now.  Take your measurements...but do it.
Or the question is...have you notice it in your clothes?  also how much are you eating?

HANG TIGHT..  you will break this!   Then WHAM big loss.

It is natural for your weight to slow down after the first three months. I now lose between 0.5 and 1.0 pounds a week, and I am at 800 calories as well. It is slower, but it is healthy and the number continues to go down. It sounds like you are doing what you need to be doing. Keep it up and you will continue to see the numbers go down.

I eat about 600-800 calories a day, give or take a few calories. I'm not a big snacker. I don't do any starches, and if I do, it's a very small amount. I'm concerned because I notice that a lot of you guys are out of surgery since last year, and you eat the same amount that I'm eating now. Am I eating too many calories? I journal all of my food on myfitnesspal.com. I'm nervous because I really don't wanna go back to my old eating habits.

I don't think you are eating too many calories. I was really restricting my calories, and found that my weight loss stopped. I went back to my average of about 800 a day, and started losing again. For me, at least....I just have to remember that it works, and to be patient.
