Best moment since surgery

Today marks 8 weeks post op. This last week has been miserable with a bad root canal and lots of pain and misery.

I hadn't been to the gym for most of the week but dragged myself tonight.

And I accomplished one of my goals - one that mean's a lot to me.

I jogged a whole mile. And I love that I have a place that I can share this and not feel ridiculous (all my skinny athletic friends would laugh at this).  I've been walking/working out for a year now, and when I started 115 lbs ago, it took me 30 mins to walk a mile. I did a mile in less than half that time.  IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!!

I wasn't expecting to be able to do it yet, but I did, and I feel like a million dollars.

Now, If I could figure out how to drink and run at the same time, maybe i'd like my sleeve. But, I tried to take a drink and half the bottle came out, and well, it didn't go down very easy.

Congratulations with 8 weeks!  Super CQQL!

I also dragged myself to the gym and went with my son who bought me pink boxing
gloves and we went at it.  Boy are my shoulders and arms going to be sore.
He kept saying to me, "  come on!  get rid of those bye bye arms!"  lol  Bless my son.

I am soooOOOOooo proud of you...   YOU JOGGED A MILE!!!!!  AND IN HALF THE TIME
you walked a mile in 30 minutes in the beginning.  That is HUGE...   WTG!!!!

Drink and run....   hummmmmm.....   that would be interesting.  I drink while I am on the
eliptical and barely do it...but I do.    How can you run and drink?

Its so awesome to come to OH and talk about this stuff... I so can relate.

Way to go Allison !!!!!

That is unreal !

My orthopedist is finally letting me do some treadmill walking - and I did a half mile at 2.5 ! (up from pre-accident 1.8 !)

This process isn't easy, but it sure is fun seeing all of our accomplishments -- even if there are people out there that would scoff at what we call an accomplishment !!! I say to celebrate each and every victory that we can !!!

Congratulations on your run! That is awesome.

I run with a sport top on my water bottle. That way you can just sort of squirt it into your mouth without skipping a step.
