YOUNG VSGers! Extra skin question!

It does not matter if you are 10 or 15 years old and lost 100 or 200 or 300 pounds.  There is no way in the world that your body will not tell the tales of having been that overweight. And the more overweight you are the more skin you have - no?  It is stretched and it is stretched for life!  Sometimes we get a "snap back"

Yes it is age, genetics, toning the muscle under the skin which makes loose skin "appear" to look better  (skin does not turn into muscle nor does skin shrink), whether you are a smoker or not, how much you are overweight, how long you've been overweight, where you carried your weight etc.  The bottom line is we can't escape loose skin but we can live with it or decide to do something about it.  It is not so bad by the way - keeping the weight on is far worse.

Best,
Leila

I'M 21 and before i started losing weight i read alot of posts saying that if your younger you probably wouldnt have extra skin. i believed it and thought i wouldnt have that problem but ive only lost 90 pounds and already have extra skin.In my case it is only my arms but its not pretty. ive had no problem anywhere else so far.
