I agree with others, this was by the far the HARDEST part of the process. And to top it off, your doctors office is having you lose SO much weight beforehand, that's crazy talk! Geesh that would **** me off too! Well, if that's their rules, you gotta stick with it and do the best you can. I was allowed beef jerky and string cheese in moderation. maybe a little will help? Also try different types of shakes? Sorry, I couldn't offer more.. just wanted to let you know that I sincerly feel your pain, but this too shall pass, then you're not going to care!! Happy Days girlfriend!
I know it is very difficult... maybe watch lots of movies when you have down time? That helps me take my mind off what is going on in reality.

Try adding less than a teaspoon of Hershey's Cocoa (or the store brand is what I use) to a chocolate shake to make it richer. For variety, add sugar free jello or pudding mix to vanilla shakes. The pudding mix can be a problem post-op because it thickens the shakes, but pre-op it might actually help with staying full.
