Do your foods contain "cellulose"
I heard about this on the drive in this morning and was shocked. I have been reading for the past 10 minutes and now I'm repulsed. Especially in MY effort to get in more fiber and on occasion to eat low fat...but now I'm MORE convinced then ever that eating the parameter of the grocery stores is just what a girl has to do ya know...

Personally IMO this isn't even all that bad compared to some things they put in food. This is why I try to stick to whole organic foods where ever possible. Even ground beef has chemicals in it and dried spices are irradiated (zapped with radiation) and often have sugar and other chemicals added.
So if you buy nothing but organic WHOLE foods in their natural state (fresh spices, whole vegetables, etc.) you are much better off. Anything that has been cut, processed, is in a package, etc. is suspect and usually has something done to it like it is washed with ammonia, sprayed with chemicals, has some preservative on it, etc.
When you realize how this effects our health and how much what we eat effects our weight and health, you see how worth it is to pay the higher prices for whole foods and organic stuff. I'd rather spend my money on higher priced organic stuff than spend it on doctor bills, pills and fake food supplements.

Oh I didn't even want to TOUCH the pesticides and the stuff getting fed to our animals. And how news channels are doing exposes on "Farmers Markets" food that isn't even coming from a far....or how "organic" doesn't even mean organic in some instances...
Unless you VISIT the farm you can't trust anything you don't grow yourself....but if you grow yourself you gotta take into account the soil, the water....ok but for NOW let's talk cellulose

So this is where my mind goes. Remember Euell Gibbons? Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom?
"A 1974 television commercial for Post Grape-Nuts cereal featured Gibbons asking viewers "Ever eat a pine tree? Many parts are edible." While he recommended eating Grape Nuts over eating pine trees (Grape Nuts' taste "reminds me of wild hickory nuts"), the quote caught the public's imagination and fueled his celebrity status. Johnny Carson joked about sending Gibbons a "lumber-gram", and Gibbons himself joined in the humor; when presented with a wooden award plaque by Sonny and Cher, he good-naturedly took a bite out of it. (The "plaque" was actually an edible prop.)"
