I had a horrible experience with a workers comp doctor several years ago. I blew a disc in my lower back at work and could barely walk, but I drove myself to the Drs appt anyway. It all started when he got irritated that I couldn't sit up on the exam table (seriously, I was completely immobile!). He acted like I was faking (which I'm sure he gets a lot of with workers comp claims, but still no excuse especially if you haven't examined me yet) During the exam, I asked him if he recommended that I see a chiropractor, he instantly blew up and started in on how chiropractors were quacks and people who fell for their BS were not intelligent, etc. ( I did not know at the time that chiropractors and physicians go together like oil and water--lesson learned!) I just asked a simple question...and he came at me like that!! I was in soooo much pain and I started crying because his reaction was so irrational and unexpected. I replied by telling him that I go to chiropractors frequently and I have been helped a lot in the past. He then laughed in my face and told me I was the type of patient he was just talking about ...implying that I was "not intelligent". I was soooo offended and told him I didn't feel comfortable with the way our conversation was going and asked for a nurse to be present for the rest of my appointment. He then RIPPED UP MY CHART , threw it on the floor, and said "well, it looks like you made up your mind...go see your quack chiropractor...we aren't going to be playing your games here" and walked out. I started crying uncontrollably because I was in shock! The nurse didn't know what was going on when she came into the room and explained that the doctor was calling my work to tell them he would not take me as a patient because I was too emotionally unstable. He lied about everything that happened in the room. I had no witnesses. I filed a formal complaint and absolutely NOTHING came of it. Best part...he said that I ripped up my own chart and flipped out on him! I felt like I was in the freakin' TWILIGHT ZONE!!
I hope your situation goes better than mine. You didn't go through this major surgery to be treated this way. I'm sorry you have to deal with an A##hole. Strip away the medical degree and Drs are just people...and some people are flat out A##holes! FILE A COMPLAINT and find someone who cares about YOU and will LISTEN. Your health depends on it! My prayers are with you :)
Sorry to hear about your pain. I hope it is getting better. I exceeded the lifting restrictions while at work one day about 2.5-3 weeks post-op and afterwards had a bad pain to the left side of my belly button.
I could basically stand for about 5 minutes before I had to sit or lie down. I don't know if that is anything similar to what you are going through, but I think for me it lasted about a week or maybe a week and a half.
Keep us updated and let us know when you start feeling better (which is very soon, I hope!).

Sorry u fell. So you went to your surgeon when the pain got a bit much he told you, you irritated a deep stitch. OK. Makes sense to me. Good you went and saw him to rule out anything worse.
So by tuesday your pain became much worse even excrutiating. Did you call your surgeon's office and tell them? No you went to Urgent care. What better answer did you expect? You fell you pulled a stitch. The people at Urgent were clueless at least your surgeon gave you an explanation. A answer
He offered to do a leak test that you refused. What else could he do?
Why didnt you call his office explain the situation that you had been in to see him but since then the pain has increased 10 fold. He said I pulled a stitch would u please call me in a script for some pain meds? You also could have called your pcp and explained your situation. He might have called you in some pain meds also.
By your post, you didnt explain to him how much pain you were in when he came to the urgent care. You make it sound like you didnt believe him about a pulled stitch, No where in your 4th paragraph do you say you asked him for pain meds or explained how bad the pain was. Maybe you just forgot to post that. (not being sarcastic).
I am rather shocked that a Surgeon would say to his patient * deal with it*.
I am sure he told you that it would take time to resolve. Take time to heal but until then its going to hurt.
I just think this whole situtation could have been handled better. I still dont understand why you didnt call his office and tell them what was goin on after your first visit. Then if he didnt handle it to your satisfaction call your PCP explain to them.
But hope you feel better soon.
