I was finally sleeved on Tuesday. Not sure what some of you were talking about, but it was the worse pain I ever experience. The first day was very difficult for me. Of course, Ive never really had any surgeries before.
My hospital bed was very uncomfortable, so that made matters worse. Plus a slew of nurses, PA's, Techs, and diestary aids continued to wake me up everytime I tried to get some good sleep.

As soos as I got home today at 10:30 am, I fell asleep and I am just now waking up. I lierally haven't eaten much at all in the last 3 days. Broth,Jello, and water. Strange thing is, I don't want anything else right now.

I am pretty short of breath and get tired VERY easily, but hopefully, this too shall pass.

I havent weighed myself yest, but my tummy is bloated from the gas, and surgery. Too soon for situps...lol

Sweetie I had my surgery last Friday and I have to say day 3 was probably the worst for me. It was the gas that got me. It will get better. The most important thing is to stay hydrated. Make sure you walk. I forced myself to walk and today I walked 3/4 of a mile total so far. It is not much but it helps with the gas.

I was sleeved last Thursday the 16th.. I remember it being painful when I was in recovery.. The meds helped though.. I have had a c section..   But no elective surgeries before..

I know what you mean about ALL the nurses.. Every 45 minutes throughout the day and night they were coming in to check my vitals..

I was happy to be home.. It might take you a few days to get in teh swing of things.. Like getting all your liquids and protein in..

Congrats to you on your new journey..

Congratulations - the first couple of days are the worst!   Make sure you use the spirometer thing to improve your breathing - and sip, walk, rest, repeat!

Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Hey sleeve sister!! I was sleeved the same day!  I hear ya, the pain was terrible and I've had 2  c-sections and this was by FAR the worst pain ever.  I woke up from my surgery with the WORST back pain, I couldn't breath and the pains in my stomach were almost unbearable.  Day 2 was much better, was able to find the right pain meds for me and found a good liquid routine.  walking helped a lot.  I'm so glad to get out of that hospital!  The nurses, the beeping, the IVs...  don't miss any of it.  Keep us updated on your progress!!
