I made it through surgery.
Hey sweetie, (those are protein drinks lol) I'm so happy that it all worked out for you the first month is def the most challenging. When i was sent home it was on full liquids so if you could drink it you could eat it. I had a friend who was always making me soup so i just put it in the blender, ate a lot of cream soups, broth, yogurt (greek with s/f jello added) at day 10 post op i was moved to soft foods, I ate a lot of tuna/chicken/egg salad made with mayo, no raw veggies allowed until further out. I also made turkey chili with canned tomatoes and black beans, turkey meatballs with marinara sauce, mashed up beans with cheese, lots of scrambled eggs with cheese. These links have great info as far as what to eat at different stages of the process. I'm so happy for you :o) jeani

Congratulations!
Do your best on the protein. It just takes time to get used to the eating and for the VSG to heal completely, (including all of the internal swelling). For me the effects of the swelling was the weirdest thing. I thought my "I'm Full" trigger was broken. I found out it was just the swelling that caused me to get the signal too late. It forced me to be diligent about measuring rather than trying to eat till I get the signal and then stop.
Looking forward to your updates!... Craig
