Nope, my whole family is large, I'm the only one that has had WLS so far. My two older sisters live on the east coast, and when I talked to them about it and broke the news- one immediately said "did you get the sleeve?!" She knew what it was since her friend had it done (and has done great) and she was interested, but she has many, many bad bowels issues (runs in the fam)- so much so that she's had one section removed and is still having issues with either stenosis or ileus.. so her doc is kinda wishy-washy on whether she'd be approved or if it would even be a good idea.. she'd asked a while ago though! She asked a bunch of questions as I've had my share of bowel issues and she's super proud & happy for me!
My other sister has thought about the RNY off and on and didn't really like the idea of it, but had never heard of the VSG till I talked with her, so who knows!
