I'm still pre-op (6/27...one week to go!) and my surgeon has us stay 2 nights.

I had surgery Thursday at 11am and left the hospital on Sunday at 7am, so that is 3 nights, and that was in Mexicali. Spent all day sunday getting home, finally plopped into my bed at 10pm on Sunday night. It was a full day with a lay over in Chicago. NO problems though.

I was scheduled for ONE night in the hospital and ended up staying FIVE!! They could not release me because I could not get enough liquids in. I was able to drink maybe 3 oz per day so needless to say I was on IVs for a while. This is not common though.

My stay was suppose to be for 2 nights. It ended up being 3 because my blood sugar was low and I wasnt drinking enough. I cant imagine going home the same day or the next day! I really felt like I needed to be there those 3 days. Good luck!!

I stayed one night and was so ready to get home to my own bed and sleep. Good luck and don't be nervous - you will be on the losers bench before you know it!
