OMG, they moved the time up... I'm shaking

This post cracked me up... yes, it IS a good idea, though it seems less so when you describe it that way ;).

I'm 4 weeks out and essentially back to normal with how I feel.  Despite the fact that the scale isn't moving right now (damn 3 week stall!), I still know it was a good decision... I'm already down 20lbs and am wearing clothes I haven't been able to wear in years.  If nothing else, it's worh it for the complete lack of interest in food... I LOVE IT!!

Granted, that may go away as I get more choices in the later phases of the diet, but I dunno... even thinking about "what if I could have [insert favorite food here] right now", it doesn't really appeal to me.  That alone is well worth the 2 weeks of discomfort I went through (week 3 was the turn-a-corner week for me).

Good luck, scootching over on the loser's bench for you!

My husband says he knows I'm nervous when I start cracking really bad jokes. But seriously... who thought of this? It's a good idea. I know it's a good idea. I've been looking into this particular surgery for two years and five years total of WLS research. I'm not stupid. I've done the research, but why do I feel like a complete idiot right now? LOL

Good to hear things are getting more normal at 4 weeks. I own a service business and while my team has it under control, I kinda have to be there, at the very least at a week or so. The good news is I work from home, we're all virtual, so... I'm hopeful... and wow! 20 pounds is AMAZING. Congrats!

Wanna popsicle? The orange ones are mine though. You can have a red... or all the grape ones.

How convenient... the red and grape ones are my favorite, so yes, I accept your virtual popsicle  (you'd think this forum would have a popsicle sucking smiley... er, well... maybe not... no doubt it'd be easy for someone to get confused/offended) .

It sounds like you're going through the same thing I was the day before surgery... it's what inspired my Zero Hour and the Schizophrenia Continues post

Schizophrenia doesn't even BEGIN to describe it. I have so far heard five different voices in my head tonight. LOL. I'm calming down a bit. I don't do well with schedule changes, although I knew it was a big possibility, it's still kinda... ahhh! Who moved my cheese, dude!

That's the best post ever. So totally true right now.

OMG, we need a popscile sucky emoticon. Seriously. I would use it all the time.

What?

IT is a VERY good thing what you are doing a better life for you.. Deep breaths good thoughts..

I had my surgery last Thursday and I was fine until 15 minutes before the surgery just got scared.. BUt like my doctor said he would be more worried if I was not scared..

Good Luck to you tomorrow.. I was SO HAPPY mine was in the morning, it would have been harder for me if it was in the afternoon..

I PROMISE you it will go so fast.. I was so so so happy I had such great nurses and nice nurses that I was able to talk to them while they were dong their stuff, so I was not thinking about it..

IT is scary but you will be in recovery sooner then you know, I promise..

Again, GOOD LUCK to you MANY PRYAERS and GOOD THOUGHTS coming your way...

Writing your name on the Loser Bench...

I've only been under anethesia once. It was for a minor thing, outpaitient, lasted 20 minutes or so. I remember them giving me happy juice before they wheeled me back. I'm hoping this hospital does the same thing, just as soon as I walk in the door would be nice :)

I'm okay. Earlier will be better, I won't have all morning to worry my blood pressure sky freaking high.

Good Luck sweetie!! I would be thrilled if mine were earlier! I'm lucky it's at 10:30am, though. Early enough for me!  I am SO ready...a little nervous, but not much. More nervous of the "after" part. YOU will do GREAT!!! And I will be saying a little prayer for you as I leave my driveway in the morning! YAY!!!!

I hear ya girl, I was self pay myself, and I thought why the heck am I going to pay someone to cut out most of my vital organ lol...but I had it on thursday the 16th, and yeah I had a couple rough days afterwards, but I feel great about my decision, and really have absolutely no regrets, and I am only 4 days post op...so anyway sending good vibes your way, and all the grape popsicles to someone else cause I think they are gross 2

Yeah, I think being self pay doesn't help any... other than maye gives me a little more motivation, because like you said I'm actually paying this guy to do this crazy thing!

I've been saving the grape popsicles. I hear your tastes change. If not, my 8 year old will eat them. Why don't they sell the stupid things in all one flavor?!?!
