3 month update

Today is my 3 month surgiaversy.  I'm loosing a fairly steady 2 lbs a week.  As of this morning, I've lost 39 lbs and 29.7 inches since my first measurement 2 weeks after surgery.  This has been a wonderful, fairly painless journey for me so far.  I still have the insecurity in my head saying I won't lose all of the 120 lbs goal I set for myself.  Last night, I was deep into head hunger--the first full day school was out.  I kept drinking and telling myself it was just head hunger.  I finally drank a raspberry hot chocolate protein drink  from pantry selections. It killed the head hunger and when dinner came around, I know longer felt like eating.

On a side note, my shar pei, Scooter, is thrilled with my new eating habits.  He is now the recipient of a 3rd of my meals.  I've even taught him to eat from a fork like a real "gentleman" to the chagrin of my husband who I've been yelling at for years for feeding the dog from the dinner plate.

Psychologically, this has helped me get over the "I can't leave food on my plate" syndrome.

I'm so grateful to the hiccups.  Each time I eat, I hiccup when I reach my full point.  It has helped me recognize the signs of being full.  I'm even begun to stop eating before I hiccup because I know what full feels like and I don't have to eat until I'm uncomfortable for hours after a meal.

I feel blessed to have supportive family and OH family to go to.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!  Congrats on your progress.  You did a great job with the head hunger, it sounds like.  That's one of my biggest fears, along with not losing all the weight I want to.

I hope I'm lucky enough to get a sneeze or hiccup to signal "STOP" to me after I get sleeved!!

Keep going!  You're doing great!

Way to go! Almost a third of the way there. Yes, you can do 120 lbs.

Isn't that hiccup thing weird? I even get it if I drink water too fast.
