My patience is paying off!

After several months of working through the system with the doctors and insurance company and telling myself "this is like eating an elephant, you do it one bite at a time" (I know poor analogy) I finally have been approved for VSG surgery and have a surgery date of June 27th.
Yay!!

Now the real hard work begins and my patience will be tested even more as I adjust to a new lifestyle. 

 Congrats on getting your date!!!!  It will be here before you know it too!  Do you have to do a pre-op diet or anything special that will help pass the time?

I'm the next day on the 28th.!  Cant wait!

I have to do the usual liquid protien diet for 10 days prior to the surgery. I've got plenty to keep me busy-between trying to keep my yard in shape and an extremly busy job, I'm hoping that my mind will be occupied.

I was very surprised by my supervisors reaction when I told him what I was planning to do. He was so supportive, and my mother has been fairly supportive, however, she does have the usual Mom reservations. But, all in all I'm looking forward to getting the surgery and moving on with my life.
