My living hell started. I was sleeved with a leak!...BUT, I survived that little setback and learned to love what I had done to my body! Up 20 pounds from my goal weight and started Weigh****chers for my anniversary to keep me accountable this evening!

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm about to undergo lapband to sleeve revision and very worried I am strong enough to maintain my weight loss over the long haul. I have considered rny but keep hearing all the reasons not to go there. Can you eat very much more now than in the beginning? How much? Are you hungrier and how are your cravings? I truly do not want to just be a person gradually regaining all my weight within 5 years due to a stretched out sleeve and need surgery again!

Any insight you can share will be appreciated!

The 1 cup rule still stuffs me...Unless it is a slider food. 3oz of meat and a small side salad, or a 1/4 c of veggies. I have never exercised and that is the reasoning for the weight gain, more bad carbs and fitness to get it off. I'm never usually hungry...Unless, I go all day an think, OH YEAH! I need to eat and my body is telling me to eat! I'm not so sure it is cravings or I just eat it because..Like to destress frpm work..I eat crunchy and salty, well, that ='s chips..I do have a bit of a sweet tooth I never had prior tp surgery.

Insight...Play by your doctors rules ansd further out you will learn what works for you! We are all different and different things work for us all.

Cheers on the revision!!

I sure would like to hear about your appetite as well. I am doing well so far but I have been thinking alot a bout what it could be like many years out. I am never hungry but I eat regularly and concentrate on protein. Do you feel like you just can eat more and do it or do you eat because you have the same/similar appetite/desire to eat as before?
I congratulate you on heading to WW. They have a great program and you have nipped that in the bud quickly.
I sure would like to hear more of your experience. I know my journey is MINE but it is nice to hear from someone OUT there.

I still don't get hungry. Unless I haven't fed myself, like I said to the previous poster above. I have eaten abput the same out from a year on. I stop when my brain says stop. NOT  belly 90% of the time.

I love the fact that WW focuses on protein, fibre, fat, and carbs. Not caloriies..

One day I am going to get busy and write my long road of the ups and downs. I try to post often. But, when newbies ask about certain post-op questions sometimesI feel I can't answer because I didn't have a normal recovery like most..

Thanks for always being open and helping others from your experience.

A long hard road....... living through a complication has to be the worst.

It frustrates me sometimes when I see and hear people *****ing and moaning about stalls, being hungry, eating Doritos, Ice Cream and every so often the person eating chicken wings 5 days out !!!
When we have several right now dealing with leaks and such with there lifes on hold......NPO with a feeding tube not knowing when things are going to be better.

Congrats on 3 years !

Donna,  Thank you for sharing because I think you have had wonderful results, and maintained so well over the past 3 years, in spite of what sounds like the leak from Hell...My hat is off to you, Sweetie!  Know those 20 pounds are in jeopardy...Best wishes,  Viv
