Protein drinks (ranting, you can just ignore me...)

IMO, Max Protein is HANDS DOWN the BEST protein powder on the market.  It's a pain to have to CALL the GNC stores first to see if they have it (only franchise stores carry it), but well worth it.  I'm 2 1/2 years out and still have a shake almost every day.  Now that I'm on maintenance, I add strawberries or some fruit to my shakes and lots of ice and a squirt of whipped cream.  Mmmm!

Yeah, that's what I've heard... it's expensive to buy online though so I'm trying to find it locally. I'll call around today and hunt down some.

Have you tried About Time (or at least asked for their ingredients?) This is the brand that I use and like. I've tried it with water and it's drinkable. I don't see anything soy on the list but it might be hidden in the "natural flavors".

Ingredients: Cold Pressed Ultra Micro-filtered Whey isolate, Natural Flavors, Xanthan Gum, Stevia

They have samples on their website and the customer service people are wonderful if you have questions.

Try Protein H20 by Muscle Milk. It's not a shake, more like Gatorade.  It has Whey Protein Isolate, fiber, electrolytes, and calcium in it.

Oh, I had forgotten about all the bottles back there... I have one of these and will try it, it's only got 10-15 protein, but it's better than nothing... I see I have a protein shot too... you guys have scared me off of those though so far, but I might try it, 42 protein in that little thing, surely I can choke it down... LOL

I like Protien H20 because they have electrolytes, fiber and calcium. I drink a couple a day, so 10g protien at a time is fine. My daily target is only 63-78g and I get 50 or so from food, at this point. They also only have 60 calories; so, I can stay about 600 calories a day.

Don't waste your time, money and tastebuds on the shots. the are mostly collagen which is the wrong kind of protein for best absorption. Plus collagen is less expensive than whey which is why they cram so much in there.
