I know your pain.  Sorry for your loss.  My best friend had to do the same with her catahoula of 15 years today.  Maybe they will play together since they are "newbies."
I am not big boned!  Bones don't jiggle!

I never understood why people who euthanize their pets are looked at as loving and heroic (which I agree with btw, its tough as hell to make that call, but if you have to its the right one to end the suffering), but humans not only don't have that option, you are REQUIRED to just tough it out and suffer as long as they can keep you alive. Why is that? If a human is terminal, and only going to suffer a very painful, long death, why drag it out? Let them say their goodbyes, and drift off to sleep in a controlled manner and get away from the pain.

Sorry for the soapbox. Admirable of you to do that for the rabbit. And sorry for your loss of Buddy. I said goodbye to Bud, my lab about 2.5 years ago now. Still think of him often and miss him. Never easy to say goodbye to a faithful pet. The epitome of unconditional love, pets are.

So sorry for your loss.  Animals are such a special part of our live - the give us a glimpse at totally unconditional love.  They love us whether were young or old, fat or skinny.  When we lose them they leave a major whole that only another furry friend can fill (when the time is right).  (((hugs)))

Sassy, thank you for what you did for that sweet little bunny.  You were his angel!

Sorry about your doggie.  That is heartbreaking.

Fur babies are meant to be loved.  You are so good at that.

So sorry, Sassy...just this weekend, I lost my first sugar glider, Gizmo, and it was devastating.

Buddy was so lucky to have you to take him from the shelter and give him a good life with a good family. I bet he left you with a million happy memories of your times together.

Hang in there chicky,
Lindsey

Sorry to hear of your families loss.   Take some solace in the fact that Buddy was in a good loving home and lived a good life.  He enriched your lives .....as you did his.  We all know that  some pets are only in our lives for a short time........the impact that their love has on our memories....lasts a lifetime........cherish those memories.
