Thanks Old Medic the the kick in the ever decreasing BUTT.
I have hit the 6 month munchies and been eating good treats but eating between meals.  Going back to planned meals and a shake a day.  I started the muchies when I did not get my protein in and was hungry.  I just realized the hunger was cause I did not have enough protein to fill me and meet my nutrition needs.  I let life take me for a ride.  But it is a short one and I am turning the corner back to the protein store.  Thanks again.  Maja

I do agree that it doesn't help anyone or any situation to get all fired up about one mistake. However, whether we're well educated about our procedure or not, it's human and completely normal to worry about failure or doing things "wrong." After all, you're talking about a group of folks who have failed diet after diet after weight loss plan after weight loss plan...why wouldn't we be concerned about failing at WLS as well?

And eating between meals does not guarantee failure. It's what and how much you eat that matters, not when. As long as you're conscious about what/how much you're putting in your mouth, it doesn't matter if you do it 3 times a day or spread it out to 10 times a day. The key is smiply not to mindlessly consume calories.

You will notice that I said that "just grabbing something and eating" and "eating BETWEEN MEALS" is  not a good habit.

If you are on an every two hour meal plan, great.  That's YOUR plan.

But, if you grab food in between, and eat when you shouldn't on a regular basis., you WILL be setting yourself up for failure.  I don't care what program your surgeon has you on, if you deviate from it very far, and very often, you will find yourself in trouble.

I just love the way some people look to shoot down what others say. I can't help but wonder what their motivation could be?
