Ok so I'm about to begin the purée stage of my post op diet and I'm having a hard time coming up with much that sounds good puree'd. I'd be happy to take any suggestions. Thanks everyone!

I was pretty narrow minded with my pureed stage. Mostly pureed tuna or salmon with a little olive oil mayo, pureed egg salad, and pureed cream soups. But I was only on purees for a week, so i made it through. Good luck!

That was a tuff time for me but I got through it.  I borrowed my friends magic bullet ( I believe Walmart sales them for $44) and that was a life saver.  With that you can puree anything you can think of.

I got an amazing recipes from my nutrionist:

Noodless Lasagna
you need Part skim ricotta heese, ragu, low fat mozzarella and parmesan cheese microwave 1minute... ummmm so good and addictive and the other best part about this recipe it doesnt need blending or chewing...

Burrito less Burrito.....
Refried beans, taco sauce or smooth salsa, low fat cheddar cheese.. Microwave 1 minute top with low fat sour cream.

I have others but havent tried them yet if you want I can post them anyway?

All serving sizes are estimated at 1/2 cup to 1 cup per meal

I bought cans of chicken and would put those in the food processor with various things...
- chicken salad with miracle whip
- chicken with turkey bacon and ranch (cooked bacon, then put all in food processor, then heated in microwave)
- chicken with honey mustard
- chicken with marinara sauce and cheese melted on top (marinara doesn't agree with me though)
- turkey smokies (would cook them, then put in food processor and then mix with ketchup....loved this for breakfast)

I couldn't usually eat the whole can for a single meal, so I would keep leftovers in fridge and have for another meal.  I kept drinking my protein shakes in the AM (EAS myoplex 42g protein...would drink half).  Purees was only 2 weeks for me, so the above got me through.

Good luck!

Thank you so much everyone for the wonderful tips! I know this is going to be hard for me to get through because it's 3 weeks! So any recipes or thoughts are so appreciated. I can't wait to get back to eating regular foods but less of them. Thanks again!!!
