Hi,

I am so sorry for you! Hopefully when they resubmit it your insurance will just go ahead and let you have the hospital stay which may be for the better. I am sure you have thought about this for a while and so If you have decided this is the surgery you want and not the bypass, try not to let the pressure get to you, I totally agree with the idea that everything happens for a reason. I will be praying for you that you will be able to know what you should do.

Hang in there!

i know that;s what I dont understand I just posted again to see if anyone knew a code that could get it for me done inpatient.. I was totally shocked plus i have diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and so on.. they expect me to pay 15 percent of the coinsurance up front if i have it done inpatient only 250.00  i was so looking forward to it.   i dont know what to do i really dont want the ruen y surgery but that might be the only one for inpatient stay.. no way to come up with 1400.00 soon.

I was wondering the same thing myself?  I have never seen the sleeve done as an outpatient procedure.  I know there are improvements being made all the time - but usually they like to make sure you recover from the anesthesia, do a leak test, and make sure you can keep fluids down before they release you.  I would think it would be at least overnight in the hospital.
