I had an ovarian cyst removed through a c-section incision- How long after this were you able to lay on your tummy? Its been 2 and half weeks and when I lay on my stomach it feels like my insides are stretching. creepy...

I have had three and it took me about 3 weeks to be able to sleep on my stomach on the average.

God bless you, woman!!

1 of those cuts was more than enough for me! Worse than my VSG for sure.

Thanks for the response.

Hi Ms Sassy,

If I remember correctly (it's been 20 years) it took about 4 weeks to comfortably lay on my tummy. It does take time since it's a fairly major incision into your abdominal wall. Hope this helps :)

I am actually very curious as to if you Cyst developed post op....and possibly due to the weight loss of surgery?? I am having trouble with Ovarian cysts since sugery.....possible concept is that a lot of estrgen gets realeased into our bodies as our fat disipates.... thanks for any input!

the type of cyst I had actually developed from embryonic germ cells so essentially its been there all my life, what we think happened was that with the loss of fat layers post op I started to feel it as it was less cushioned....it was only AFTER VSG surgery that it was found..

the curious thing is I had 3 ultrasounds of the cyst and they showed it measuring 4-7cm..when they took it out a month later it was supposed to be done via lap procedure, going in thru my VSG incisions..

Apparently it was larger than my uterus, bigger than a closed fist..could it have grown from the estrogen or were the 3 ultrasounds wrong?

hence the big ol' cut through my abdominals..

It took me about 4 weeks to lay on my stomach after C-sections.

Jimbo would love me.....I've had 3 C-sections and a hysterectomy thru the same incision.  I threatened to have my surgeon put in a zipper!
