May 17, 2011 a new phase of my life begins
Tomorrow's my day. At 12:30pm in Lenox Hill Hospital NYC the very talented Dr Edward Yatco goes to work on me. It's somewhat surreal that it was only back in mid March that I made up my mind to do this.
It was a blessing in disguise that my first scheduled date in April was postponed. That date felt really rushed and attempting to push my insurance company to accomodate the calender caused me anxiety. And in the end it proved to be an exercise in futility.
I asked the Lord in prayer that if this was truly His will for me that He would order my steps. He has done that and here we are. Knowing that my life is in His hands gives me peace through it all and a hopeful expectation of the outcome.

Good luck - you sound ready and motivated. There aren't a lot of men on this forum (I'm guessing about 15%), but we rock anyway, helping and getting help from all da lovely ladies. I'm one of the resident "oldsters" at 65, but according to my grandson, I'm "getting younger" as I "shrink." See ya on the loser's bench tomorrow. Welcome to VSG, the land of the lost and losing.
