Pain....

I know I have been missing for a while but I thought I should check in at some point. I had my surgery on Wednesday the 11th and stayed in the hospital until Friday the 13th. I have had so much pain that I haven't felt much like updating. I have never felt this bad in my entire life I had a dilaudid pca while at the hospital which really didn't help and am now home on lortab elixir which burns like fire when I swallow it. I had single incision laproscopic surgery through the belly button and the pain is to the right of my belly button which seems strange to me that my worst pain is no where near my stomach. My doc says its due to stitches inside me on that side but it sucks a lot. So for the positive parts are I haven't been really hungry which is great, I have lost alot of weight already, and my sugars are now normal without meds. Although I think the reasons for some of this is because I cant seem to eat very much without some serious growling from my new tiny tummy. I'm going to work harder tomorrow to get my water and protein requirements in. Just wanted to update and ask how long before your pain went away?

Oh dear! That sounds rough! I had 5 small incisions. They hurt a little over the first week or so, but it was nothing major. I didn't even need pain meds.

I hope this gets better very soon. Please call your doctor. If you are hurting like this and the pain meds he gave you make you sick, you need some help.

I really hope you are feeling better soon.
