LOL!! You are right about the sunscreen. I went to my daughter's softball game last weekend, and my scalp got burnt where I part my hair! I don't think anyone is noticing my hair loss either (but like you said, maybe they are just not saying anything). Hope you have a great summer, too!

I WOULD actually rather be bald that morbidly obese.  I can get a wig.  If that was the trade-off,  I would take it.  I didn't do this for vanity or to be skinny.  Did it to be healthy.  Baldness wouldn't kill me.

I'm six months out and still shedding like crazy.  I know it will stop, and the guy that cuts my hair tells me that I have some new growth coming in.  I'm going to have him check it again in a few weeks when I go in for some color.  I am excited to see what it looks like at my one year mark when my hormones have leveled out.  In the mean time, I use a great mousse (Davines Universal Mattering mousse), and a styling creme that gives hair some grit (Bumble and bumble (un) styling creme) and I don't wash every day.

My hair started feeling like Chinese noodles (un-cooked) at about the 10 week mark. I could feel and hear it breaking when I moved my head on my recliner pillow. Then I noticed that I can see ALOT more scalp on top when the bathroom light was shining on my head at night. So I started taking biotin 2X a day, I ordered a new ballcap from my favorite tattoo shop, and in a little while I'll get my hair shaved down with the low comb. I know it's not a good plan for you ladies (the hat and buzz cut) sorry. When my family has commented about my thinning hair I just tell them "It's part of the price of admission".
So hopefully next winter I will be growing my thick head of hair back.... Craig

There is a vitamin product you can get that helps with this exact issue.  I saw people on this forum talking about it a while back.  I'm not sure what it was though!  There is a website called gastricbypasssupplements.com you can check there...they might have it!!!  :)  I'm so sorry I can't remember the name!

Sorry, that was the wrong website address.  Here is the right one...they also do samples.  I think they have stuff for hair loss.
