OMG! What has gotten into me? (not food related)

I am just totally in awe of myself! I am in LOVE with exercise. Really, me?? You have to understand I did not exercise but very sporadically during my losing phase because I HATE to sweat and it just didnt appeal to me at all. HOWEVER, recently my daughter asked me to be her motivator. She needs to lose about 50 lbs and she really wanted me to help her. Well guess what, she has become my motivator. I am amazed at the things I am doing. We have starting walking, jogging, boxing, jumping rope and as of tonight riding bikes. I have always had the CANT do attitude because I was never ABLE to do. Now my attitude has def changed to CAN do. I am willing and able to try just about anything. Most times I find I actually ENJOY it because I CAN. Im seeing changes that amaze me. My loose jiggly thighs are starting to tone up and become muscular. I've actually gone down a size in jeans (size 4-HOLY CRAP!!) and my stomach is beginning to shape up. Def not ready for a bikini but hey I'm happy with what I'm seeing. The moral of my long post is MOVE, doesnt matter what you do just find something you ENJOY doing. Cardio does the heart good!!

She and I have had a majorly bumpy relationship. I never thought we would be where we are today but we are. She is 27 years old this weekend so hopefully we are finally on the right track. Good Luck with your daughter, I hope things get better for you as well!!

Congrats! I am a Nana too! I have 7 beautiful grandkids, ages ranging from 23 to 1. They are the best kids ever! They never, ever do anything wrong (LOL).
I have not gotten to the point of loving exercising - it is still a "four letter word" to me! I hoping I start liking it more as it gets a little easier.
I've been thinking of getting some kettlebells to get started with that. I've heard several folks say they like kettlebells.
Again, congrats! Way to go!

Good for you Nana on both learning to enjoy exercise and doing stuff with your daughter. Never have learned to love exercise though I do now love activity even if its just puttering. Cant be still for too long anymore.

So send that exercise bug around. Some of us want to get bitten.   Diane

AMEN!! I never thought I would say I enjoyed working out. Never thought I would be so bummed when I have to miss. You are right - it's so much easier to love it when you can DO it!!
