She sounds a lot like my mom... she took care of every terminally ill member of our family until they passed.  There was never anything she wouldn't do for me (she was a single mom and I was her only child).

She passed 2 years ago.  Mother's Day is a difficult one for me --  I'm glad to hear that you appreciate your mom while you still have her.

What a beautiful tribute to your Mom. I'm sure her love and pride for you is more than can be expressed. Thanks for sharing and remembering what is truly important in this world.

that is a beautiful story and thanks for sharing that experience with all of us. I lost my mom almost two years ago, although I loved her we never saw eye to eye. My only advice I have for people that still have their moms is. . .love them anyway. Even if they aren't listening to advice that will help them live longer, even if you don't feel that they love you as much as they should. Just love them anyway, because someday, you won't have the chance to hug or kiss or express your love for them ever again. Thanks for sharing such a beuatiful mother with us tonight. Jess

That is just too sweet, I hope you told her all that you wrote on here. If it makes me tear up I'm sure it will melt her heart.

Ok, I'm crying . Thanks for sharing that - a very special relationship you guys have. My mom passed away at the age of 44 and I still reach for the phone to call her about any random thing. Women ARE strong, and I'm glad men like you recognize that. again, thanks for sharing
