navigation of site

i don't know about anyone else, but i find the navigation of this site to be really frustrating.  i'm not extremely tech savvy, but i am pretty good with basics.  right now i'm trying to get my little tracker to show up at the bottom of my page, but i've also had problems trying to retrieve messages, trying to find the people that i'm trying to write private messages to, and i get annoyed that anytime i roll over a link the screen is covered with whatever the link has on it. 

does anyone know how to solve any of these problems?  i love the information i get from the site, for sure, and so appreciate all of the help i've received.
