I'm a 12/28 sleever and am doing GREAT!!  Feeling well, and looking fabulous!  Too many NSV's to list here but a few that come to mind is wearing my first pair of shorts this weekend,  having to buy all new bras/ panties, none of my old shoes fit, just ordered a plain wedding band to get me through to the end because not ready to size the one that is falling off w/ a sizer... the list could go on and on!

Looking forward to hearing from other December sleevers.  Thanks for the post!

Hi everyone.  Life is great here in Ohio!  Surgery was Dec 6th.  Started at 233 pounds before pre-op diet, surgery wt of 220 pounds, and 160 pounds today!  Woot, woot!!  Down from a size 22 to a 12!

I have lost about half my hair....yes, really.  Fortunately for me, it was very thick.  I bought bioten (but don't take it) and use Nixon hair products (which truly are just a waste of money).  I have faith it will grow back eventually.

I can eat so much more than just 2 months ago!  Continue to measure most of the time.  Keep carbs at or below 40/every day.  Attempt to get in 8 cups/fluids....mostly water and one cup milk daily.  I usually don't count calories but I'm sure I don't get more than 800-900 max/daily.  I'm still breastfeeding my toddler (19 months) so that helps in the calorie department.  I do "cheat" sometimes (usually on Sundays).  Right or wrong this is what I do.

This is my 7th week of good aerobic exercise.  The treadmill and 80's music are my "friends."  I did nothing as far as working out until 7 weeks ago and love it!  I would encourage those who haven't started to give it a try.  It has definitely accelerated my wt loss.

Besides smaller clothes, the one nsv I can think of is my belly not touching the steering wheel anymore.  It's actually FAR from touching!  On a side note it hurts my but to take a bath because the padding is not there anymore!!

That's about it.  Sorry so long.  I wish you all the best on your journey.  I'm VERY thankful for this website.  I have no support group which stinks but I'm on here daily.

Hugs............Jennifer

I am loving life and feel so much better and happier. Sometimes I am disappointed because other December people are losing more and faster but I try to stay positive. I prayed, waited a long time and I am broke to do this and I wouldn't change a thing. I absolutely love not being able to eat much even if it is a favorite. I finally feel normal.

I can fit into a booth
Wear several sizes smaller in clothes
Sit comfortably on bleachers
Bend over
Tie shoes
Cross legs
Wash dishes with no back ache
Wrap towel all the way around me
Breath
Have energy
Less embarrassed in public
Notice less stares in public
Easier to exercise

The list could go on and on. I notice something easier or new each day. I love my new tummy and life.

December 29, 2010 sleeved.

Doing ok, losing is slow but steady.

Doing high protein, low carb and lots of water. It's a chore to eat as I'm not interested in food.

Everyone is doing so wonderful!  Thanks for sharing your NSV's.

A few of mine are:

my hubby looking at me "lustfully"...
crossing my legs...
by behind hurting because I've lost all my padding...
feeling adventurous and willing to try new things...
TONS of energy...
my 11 y/o daughter squeeling with elation every time I lose a #..
gracefully getting out of the corvette...(they sit really low and it's really unattractive when you're fat)

Lovin' my sleeve every single day!

I was sleeved 12/20 and I honestly couldn't be happier. I'm FINALLY able to shop in pretty much any store I want without having to go into the "plus department" and I can cross my legs! My mother's envious that I can sit with my legs crossed now (:
This past week, I decided to try to walk to a nearby hotel on the beach. I couldn't believe that 1. I made it and 2. That when I looked up how far I had walked.. it was approximately 5 miles! Never in my life have I been able to do these kinds of things.
I'm definitely looking forward to this summer, where I'll be able to do the things that my friends are doing; such as amusement parks, water parks, camping, etc. (I'm 16)
This is the BEST decision I have ever made and I am so happy I did it (:

Doing great here!. No real stalls yet, just some really tiny losses some weeks. Down 63 lbs from surgery, a little slow compared to some people, but it is fine with me. I started walking about 6 weeks ago on a treadmill I am up to 1.6 miles in 30 minutes!
Lovin my sleeve!
