I don't find the need to eat eat eat.  I thought I would.  I guess I have already gotten most everything out of the way knowing it is coming?  Maybe I am already mentally preparing myself for what is to come?  Not sure but I am so looking forward to not feeling hungry!

Looks like you and I are in the same boat.  I begin my 2 week pre op diet this Monday.  I have not been gorging myself with foods, however I do make sure that I always have a wonderful dinner...that is my passion (whether it be steak, buffalo wings, shrimp, lasagna, mexican).  I too have the same mind frame like I will never ever have these foods again in life, but that is not the case.  Everything in moderation or just a couple of bites won't kill you.  A friend of mine that had bypass had to remind me of that today.  I am definitely enjoying my top faves before I start the pre-op diet, but not over doing it.  We all have so much more to achieve in our new lives.  Let's do this and be successful.  Keep me posted with how your pre op diet is going and I will do the same

It's not forever....it's just a vacation from a lot of what you used to eat.

I would recommend against it due to weight gain from binging....

I would recommend following the RNY diet of no sugar, little fat, very little carbs...you'll be a HUGE success if you do!

I'm not a binger so that wont' be a problem.  I got weighed yesterday and actually lost a pound.  lol  Things are definitely looking up!  I start that diet in just a couple days.  I think I will do fine  I have great will power, when I really want something, I make it happen.  I'm ready for my new life.
