That nurse is a *****  I just saw my doctor and I'm exactly 11 weeks out (one week shy of your 3 months) and I've lost 42 lbs.  I was complaining that I thought I should have lost more weight and he told me I was being rediculous and that I was doing a fantastic job.  He was very pleased.  So my doctor would have given you a high five, while this crazy nurse has the audacity to scold you for your good work.  Shame on her.

I'm a crotchty old guy, so I wouldn't tell the nurse to "fuck off;"  instead, I would would call the Dr. in charge of the practice and tell him to tell her to "fuck off."  I would also remind him you're $$$ and your well-being have been put in their hands and they are being paid to SUPORT you, not knock you down.  You are doing well, very well, I think, w/ your program.

THE ONLY ACCURATE WAY TO MAKE ANY MEANINGFUL COMPARISONS ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS IS TO USE % OF ORIGINAL WEIGHT LOST - NOT JUST LBS.  I'm 6'1" and started this journey at 425 lbs. - I've lost a great deal of weight (118 lbs.), but that's a raw number and can only be compared to someone who is 5'1" if you used %'s.
We all lose at different rates - the trick, I think, is to focus on the positive and keep on going.  All the best to you as you continue your journey.

One thing I have learned in the past 4 weeks, is I have to be proud of myself and not depend on a doctor or anyone else (except this group) telling me how great I have done with the weight loss! My doctor told me at my 2 week post op appt that I couldn't drink 3 glasses of milk a day to get my protein in. I just looked at her and said Why? She said well, millk is liquid protein and it doesn't stay as long as solid protein! I just looked at her and said Whatever!  My thoughts were Well, you made me give up my diet dr pepper and if you think you are going to make me give up my milk...you may as well forget that one!  Besides, the liquid protein is liquid so I am going to drink my milk anyway!  Of course, I didn't say any of this to the doctor! lol   And she was saying all of this when I have had terrible nausea from the get go and it wasn't getting any better!  Well, I was thinking this morning on the way to work,  I am not drinking but maybe a half caup a day of FF milk and I didn't even realize it until this morning.  I just don't crave it as much any more.

Bottom line, sometimes we just have to blow off what doctors and other people say and do what we think is best for our own self.

I would love to lose 44 lbs in three months!  I think you have done great!  Just blow the doctor/nurse comments off and keep on doing what you are doing and it will all come off!  My doctor told me they expect people to lose 1.5 to 2lbs A WEEK!  So that would only be 18 to 24 lbs! I would say you have done FANTASTIC~!

Personally, I like to see how everyone else is doing, but I don't like to "compare". To me, so long as the weight is going down, that's good. I've yo-yo'ed so much in the past that I know stalls happen, the more you lose the harder it gets, and mostly that you absolutely can't compare how you are doing to other people. Sure, I like losing 3 or 4 pounds in a week, liked losing 5 or 6 the first 2 weeks even more, but as long as I'm NOT going up and can get back losing and meanwhile keep exercising, I'm fine.
