Congratulations on a great 3 month loss...you said you are working with a trainer and walking, so you are probably building muscle, which weighs heavier than fat...It sounds to me like you are doing GREAT to me!  I have had similar encounters in the past with other weight loss programs, so I KNOW how you are feeling...I quit going to the other program because I felt they were not really receptive & understanding about the overall situation, but this surgery is something that none of us can quit, we have to just keep going...Know that you will find plenty of support here!

Best wishes as you continue this journey,  Viv

I second the "fuck off" comment!  Everybody is different.  The nuse had no right to make you feel bad.  I wonder if she could do better....NOT!!!!

Yep, another vote for the FUCK OFF! reply. That's about how much I had lost and I think I'm doing pretty well. You are doing fine. Keep on keeping on and stand up for yourself. I'd call today and talk to the office manager and give her what for!

Let's be honest... even though we live by the scale.. in all truth, numbers don't matter.  It's how you feel and how healthy you are.  44lbs off is fantastic.  So what if it's not 'melting' off like bypass.  You just won't have to deal with insanly saggy skin, so thpppppp  to her.  Again, even if you're not losing weight on the scale, you're body is losing inches and becoming healthier for it and that's what really matters. :)  keep up the great work.

The first thing you need to do is congratulate yourself for having already lost 44 lbs, sticking with the program and exercising!!! That alone is a success in itself!! Secondly, you should remember that at the end of the day all that really matters is how you feel and I bet that with all that weight gone and your exercising etc......your feeling a whole lot better than you did back 3 months ago. It's only going to get better and your only going to get healthier!!! Keep at it....Your doing great!

At three months I had lost 47 lbs. since surgery.  I think you are doing great.  Keep your chin up and keep on doing the right things.  Your sleeve is serving you well!

I have to respond to this.  It is not how fast you lose the weight, it  is can you maintain it after it is lost?  I only lost about 6 -8 lbs per month.  I got below goal weight and have kept it off over 5 years.  Don't let that ***** intimidate you.  She was way out of line.  I would talk to the doctor about her attitude.  She needs an attitude adjustment and sensitivity training.  Better still write a letter to  her superior.  It will go in her permanent file.  You are doing great, keep up the good work.

I am a week from being 4 months post op and have an appointment today. I have been dreading what the doc is going to say because i have only lost 48 pounds. I already got a call that they had my blood work and i needed to up my protien to 100 grams a day, so i know i am not getting what i need. But i know i am feeling good as a matter of fact better than i have in years, is it coming off slowly? Yes but it IS coming off CONGRATULATIONS on your loss it is WONDERFUL!
Keep rockin your sleeve!
