average hospital stay???

I forgot to ask my surgeon, what is the average hospital stay, I found one post for RNY but cant find one for VSG, is the stay the same???

I'm Still a work in progress, I wont give up the quest to reclaim my life, I will be whole again someday!

VSG on 01/31/11

My surgery was Monday morning at 9am and I walked out Wednesday at 4pm.

My surgery was on a Monday afternoon and I went home Tuesday morning.

VSG on 04/04/11

It seems to be 2 nights in. I had mine on Monday at 9.30am and cam home yesterday arounf lunch time. One day on IV all day, then the following morning they start you on clear liquids to see how they are tolerated. Good luck!

VSG on 03/14/11

I had surgery on a Monday afternoon and was scheduled to go home on Wednesday, I had some complications so went home on Saturday instead.

I think 1-2 nights is average. I had a reaction to my anesethia so I stayed two nights. I was ready to go home on that 3rd morning. All that poking and proding, taking vitals every few hours - not very restful.
