lookin' for VSG post-ops!! to "chime" in Would you do this again??
I am 10 months post VSG and down 180 lbs and would not have changed my mind to do it all again. Every day is a battle of the mental aspect of being overweight all of my life and still have a lot to work on. I found it impossible so far to find some local support and still desire to find a men's group for VSG patients , but will keep looking!
I have an addictive personality that allows me to over do all aspects of my life. I can overindulge in work, love, exercise, drinking, smoking, drug use, and overeating. Most of these demons I can ob stain from but have to flex the mental muscles daily. The restrictive aspect of VSG is only a tool added to my tool belt in which I must carry each day, but still has room for more tools to be added, that is why I visit Obesityhelp.com often.
I am feeling better each month physically and now can buy clothes off the rack at regular stores, each time I sit in a chair it only magically gets BIGGER!
